Taylor River

The Taylor River trips offer something for every member of your group or family, from mild to wild. This is a scenic narrow river that meanders through the Taylor Canyon. You travel through areas where the canyon walls rise straight up from the river banks and often there are bighorn sheep sightings along the river. If you are lucky, you may even see elk, deer or an occasional black bear. All trips meet at Three Rivers Resort 30-45 minutes prior to trip time. To save time at check-in, download our rafting waiver and have it completed upon arrival.

Upper Taylor: Initiation to South Bank
This is our most popular trip. With plenty of whitewater, this trip will get you wet! Everyone in the boat paddles while our guides give the commands. It is great fun and no experience is necessary. Minimum age is 12 years old. There may be exceptions depending on the time of year and water levels.

Upper/Middle Combo: Initiation to 5 mile
Make the Upper Taylor fun last longer with this extended trip through the scenic middle section of the Taylor River. It begins in the same place as the Upper Taylor trip but you will have 2 more miles of whitewater fun. Minimum age is 12 years old. There may be exceptions depending on the time of year and water levels.

Price: $75 per person

Lower Taylor: 5 mile to Three Rivers Resort
This scenic float trip is a mild ride with just a few ripples along the way. It is a great option for families with young children or for anyone who would rather float than paddle. Our guides do all the work using an oar frame so you just sit back and enjoy the ride, however, paddle trips may be requested. No experience is necessary. Minimum weight is approximately 30 lbs.

Price: $35 per person

River Distance: 5 miles
Total trip time: 1.5 to 2 hours

Middle/Lower Taylor Combo: Southbank to Three Rivers Resort
Extend the Lower Taylor trip by starting further upstream and floating through the beautiful middle section of the Taylor. This trip offers a little more adventure than the Lower Taylor trip with a few more ripples and some whitewater. No experience is necessary. Minimum age is 12 years old. There may be exceptions, depending on the time of year and water levels.

Price: $45 per person

Gunnison

Just around the corner from Three Rivers Resort, the Taylor and East rivers come together to form the mighty Gunnison. This scenic float trip leaves from the resort and winds its way through the countryside, ending up just north of the Gunnison City Limits. It is a beautiful ride with fun ripples during high water. It is a great option for families with young children or for anyone who would rather float than paddle. Our guides do all the work using an oar frame so you just sit back and enjoy the ride, however paddle trips may be requested. No experience is necessary. Minimum weight is approximately 30 lbs. Price: $30 for ages 13 and above; $25 for ages 12 and under

Lake Fork

If you like wild, you will love this adventure! We transport you 1 hr. to the Lake Fork of the Gunnison, near Lake City and then you run this wild water trip twice with lunch in-between. You have to hit this trip early, as it usually only runs through the end of June (maybe earlier or later, depending on water). On this trip, everybody paddles to the guide’s commands. You will get very wet and this is only recommended for those with rafting experience or for the very adventurous. Minimum age is 12 years old with rafting experience. All trips meet at Three Rivers Resort 30-45 minutes prior to trip time. To save time at check-in, download our rafting waiver and have it completed upon arrival.

Price: $100 per person, minimum of 4
Includes: Lunch, wetsuit, booties, helmet, round trip transportation from Three Rivers Resort, Splash Flash Photography services.
Trip Times: Meet at Three Rivers Resort by 8 am.
Class: IV
River Distance: 10 miles
Total trip time: 1.5 hours for each run

Responsibility and Liability: River rafting, kayaking and fishing are adventure sports that involve risk. We cannot be responsible for lost or damaged articles or personal injury. We are fully bonded insured and licensed but you participate at your own risk and must sign a waiver of liability. You may download this waiver and bring it with you for your trip.

• Guides: All guides are certified to guide in Colorado and are trained in CPR/First Aid. We seek personable, educated and fun people but most of all our staff is trained thoroughly to keep you safe!

• Reservations: Recommended for all trips. Group discounts available. Trips are available 7 days a week May-October. We ask for a 50% deposit with your advance reservation.

• What to Wear: Clothes you don't mind getting wet. On Class III and above, we do not allow denim. Quick-drying materials are best. Footwear must be worn at all times. River clothes and booties included with some trips.

Splash Flash Photography

During the peak season, our photographers will photograph every raft trip. View your pictures immediately after your trip and if you choose to buy one, choose from a variety of print sizes, photo frames, photo t-shirts and/or a CD of your whole trip.

Need extra prints or forgot to purchase your photos? Contact us with your credit card number, trip date, trip time, guide's name and if possible the photo number(s). We keep photos on CD for one year.

Would you like a custom picture of your group? Make arrangements with our photographer and she can shoot a group photo. Print it out, put it on CD or have us make up photo t-shirts for your whole group!
